PRODUCTION STAGES

1. CATCH

MK-0641 “Nord Tral” vessel has a reinforced ice class that allows it to work in ice with a thickness of up to 80 cm, which is an indisputable advantage in harvesting northern shrimp. The trawler is also equipped with special separator equipment that detaches shrimp from small fish.

2. ASSORTING

Immediately after the catching, our shrimp gets on the high-tech production lines, where it is automatically sorted by size. Installed high-tech equipment allows maximum sorting accuracy.

3. BREW

After the sorting process shrimp enters the automatic digesters, where the shrimp is boiled in seawater. FCF “Belomorskij Ribak” boils large and medium sized shrimps (70 +, 90 +, 120 +, 150 +).

4. FREEZING AND PACKAGING

After exit from the digester, the shrimp gets on the conveyor and enters the IQF tunnel freezers, where it is individually frozen at temperature below -30 ° C. Later on it is time for accurate weighing and packaging of shrimp in cardboard boxes of 2.5-5 kg. Dry freezing technology (IQF) guarantees the absence of ice and prevents the loss of useful properties of this delicacy.

Small size shrimp (200-250,250+,320+) or industrial shrimp is not boiled, but instead of that it is immediately frozen using Contact Freezing technology on horizontal tiled freezers. Due to their high quality, raw-frozen shrimps of the FCF “Belomorskij Ribak” are in demand among food producers.

Daily quality control, the minimum period of time between catch and freezing, high-tech equipment – all this allows FCF “Belomorskij Ribak” to maintain the beneficial properties and the pristine rich taste of shrimp. Caught and prepared northern shrimp of FCF “Belomorskij Ribak” is an environmental friendly product of Northern Seas, almost not affected by human activity.
